Introduction

By the end of this exercise, you will have a clearer picture of what truly matters to YOU. This deeper understanding of yourself not only guides you in making more confident decisions but also helps navigate challenges with greater clarity and purpose. As you move forward, aligning your life with your values leads to a stronger sense of fulfillment, improved relationships, and a clear path toward the life you truly want to create.

Take time to think about the true meaning of each item on your assessment. The same thing or activity can translate to different values. For example, many people list food as something of significance in their life. WHY? The why is the key to your personal value Profile.

Food could be:

  • health related - fuel for a healthy body

  • the memory of family or the person who taught you to cook

  • a feeling of accomplishment in a career as a chef

  • time eating nice meals socializing with people you care most about

Section 1: Visual Representations

Research shows that visualization activates the same neural pathways in the brain as actually performing the activity. This helps improve focus, build confidence, and prime the brain for success. Visualization is an essential tool for aligning your mindset with your goals, making it easier to turn intentions into actions.

1. Favorite Pictures

Find 3-5 of your favorite pictures that represent moments of happiness, pride, or significance in your life.

2. Vision of Success

Find 3-5 images that represent your future goals (e.g., career, family, personal growth)

*Keep these handy for your profile creation [part 2 after sumbmission]

Section 2: Identify Your Core Values

Instead of focusing on ideals or societal expectations of what you should value, this assessment helps you identify the areas of life where you invest your energy, time, and resources authentically.

By examining your daily actions, surroundings, and the things you prioritize most, you can uncover your highest values—the foundation of your purpose and decision-making.

This clarity empowers you to align your life with what matters most, creating greater fulfillment and personal success.

1. Visual/Physical Space

Reflect on the spaces you frequently occupy like your home, car, or office. Consider the objects you choose to keep around you.

  • Questions to Consider:

    • What items do you see around you? (e.g., pictures, awards, mementos, books)

    • What is the screen saver on your phone or computer?

Visual Item & Meaning [e.g. picture of kids - family]

2. Prioritized Spending

Our spending habits often reveal what we value the most. We are often quick to part with our money in exchange for something we value or is that important to us [entertainment, shopping, food, education, etc].

  • Questions to Consider:

    • What were the last 3-4 significant purchases you made?

    • What do you consistently spend money on without hesitation?

Spending Habits & Meaning [e.g. clothes - appearance/confidence]

3. Time Allocation

How you spend your time is a strong indicator of what you value. Take a look at how you spend your waking time. What do you most often do in those 16-18 hours of awake time? What activities or hobbies does your schedule reflect you prioritize?

  • Questions to Consider:

    • How do you spend your waking hours?

    • What activities or hobbies dominate your schedule?

Activity/Hobby & Meaning [e.g. gym - health]

4. Daydreams

The things you daydream about can reveal your deepest desires and aspirations. What do you spend your time thinking or dreaming about? How you would love your life to be, what you would love to do, or love to have? List things that can or are becoming reality [money, travel, etc], not unreal fantasies.

  • Questions to Consider:

    • What do you spend a lot of time thinking about?

    • What are the dreams or goals you hope to make a reality?

Daydreams & Meaning [e.g. Cruise - Travel or Leisure]

5. Charges Your Battery

Activities that make you feel energized and rejuvenated often align with your core values. Things that are low on your values often drain and mentally exhaust you. Your passions and true interests spark energy and leave you feeling great.

  • Questions to Consider:

    • What activities leave you feeling great and energized?

    • What would you love to spend your entire day doing?

Energy Creating Activities & Meaning [e.g. art or writing - creation]

6 Social Conversations

The topics you enjoy discussing can indicate what you value most. People talk about things that are important to them and avoid conversations about things that they don’t value “bore them”.

  • Questions to Consider:

    • What topics do you naturally gravitate towards in conversations?

    • What could you talk about non-stop?

Conversation Topics & Meaning [e.g. your kids - family or love]

Section 3: People you value
